The Yamaha Motoroid 2 is a motorcycle that comes to its owner when called, like a pet
This electric motorcycle is capable of identifying its owner and autonomously comes to their side if they make a hand signal, like a pet.

Personal electric mobility is experiencing a period of excitement, which means we can find many attractive options for improving sustainable travel. One of the world’s largest manufacturers, Yamaha, has unveiled an electric motorcycle that uses facial recognition and the most cutting-edge technology to make it highly practical.
This motorcycle is capable of recognizing its owner and moving autonomously, maintaining its stability, until it positions itself beside them. To activate this system, the owner simply needs to make a hand signal. The onboard computer identifies this signal and activates the electric motor to move until it is positioned next to the owner.

This maneuver is possible thanks to the installation of the Active Mass Center Control System (AMCES). This is the system that identifies both the user and the visual signals they make. The system also allows the electric motorcycle to perform the parking maneuver, so it is perfect for getting around the city without having to worry too much about carrying out these maneuvers.
One of its features is that the rear wheel has an independent range of movement from the front one. This allows the Yamaha Motoroid 2 to achieve smoother movement than any other motorcycle.
Obviously, this model is entirely conceptual and is intended for exhibition and to showcase the technology it incorporates, rather than for mass production. What is truly important about this electric motorcycle is that all of this technology is available to users. So, although the technology is not being applied for the time being, it opens up many opportunities for its application in various Personal Mobility Vehicles.
It could even be adapted for more complex vehicles, such as passenger cars. The interaction between the human and the vehicle is important and could prove very useful in making autonomous cars more user-friendly, especially for their owners.
