The Zil limousine could once again become the Russian government's favourite

A recent report indicates that the Russian design house Slava Saakyan has been awarded the development of the new generation of Zil armoured limousines, so it has been confirmed that this was not just a rumour and that the project currently has the green light.
Furthermore, the studio reported that it will retain the car’s classic features, but will incorporate some improvements typical of today. Another interesting point is that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has ordered a study of the feasibility of the alternative to support its adoption as official transport for government officials.
For the time being the company has only published some images of the concept that won it the competition, so there are not many details yet; however, the car is likely to use a V8 engine, which means it will respect the tradition set by its predecessors.
