There's a new SUV in town and its name is DS 7 Crossback
The new offering from DS, the French Premium brand, is an SUV that has been showcased at the Geneva Motor Show, where our colleagues were able to see it at the event

The DS brand has broken away from Citroën and become an independent badge that has brought us several very elegant models, carrying urban premium style onto our streets. But even this brand, designed to showcase cars around the city, with a touch that seeks to connect with Parisian haute couture, has fallen into the SUV trend. And that, fortunately, is good news, because the DS 7 Crossback brings us a very appealing design.
The Geneva Motor Show was the stage where this car was unveiled. It follows the design principles of the brand’s other vehicles, but takes them to the style of urban crossovers. To stand out from the rest of the brand’s vehicles, a new platform has been used, one that departs from the one that gave birth to the DS 3, DS 4 and DS 5. The DS 7 Crossback is built on the modular EMP 2 platform, which allows it to incorporate the most up-to-date technology, something that will serve it very well.

Inside, as with the rest of the DS range, work has gone into creating a space that wraps the driver and passengers. As a member of the DS family, the upholstery helps you feel comfortable and offers that pleasant, elegant sense of integration. The rear seats offer considerable space and the boot is generous, with 555 litres of capacity, so it can carry the luggage of all occupants without trouble.
At launch it will be offered with seven engines: two diesels (1.5 BlueHDI 130 CV and 2.0 BlueHDI 180 CV) and three petrols (1.2 PureTech 130 CV, 1.6 THP 180 CV and 1.6 THP 225 CV), although the range will be completed gradually over time. A hybrid version, the DS7 Crossback E-TENSE, is expected to arrive in 2019. In the meantime, the DS 7 Crossback La Première is available, a special edition to welcome the model to the market. What do you think of DS’s new SUV? Our colleagues at the Geneva Motor Show loved it!
