The Bluetooth speaker is built from a Porsche 911 GT3 exhaust. Normal, we want one too.
This Bluetooth speaker is made from a Porsche 911 GT3 exhaust. It is both a Bluetooth speaker and a work of art. The Porsche 911 GT3 is easily one of the best-sounding new cars on sale today, thanks to its manic 9,000 rpm flat-six. Porsche Design believes it can translate some of that aural joy into a Bluetooth speaker, which sells for €3,500.
It’s easy to dismiss this as a gimmick, but the GT3 exhaust is genuinely functional. It uses the rear silencer and twin exhaust as resonators which, according to Porsche Design, create a deeper sound. We’d need to hear a comparison to know whether that’s really true, but let’s be honest, even if the exhaust did nothing, the speaker looks great.

The speaker you want in your home
As you’d expect from any modern hi-fi system, the 911 Soundbar has Bluetooth, analogue, coaxial and optical inputs. It also produces a healthy 200 watts, which is more than enough for any room. However, don’t expect to use it on the move: the speaker weighs around 18 kilograms.

Is it expensive? Absolutely, especially considering you can get a solid Bluetooth speaker for a fraction of that price. Heck, Porsche will even sell you a smaller, exhaust-themed 911 speaker for 600 euros. But if you want your obsession with Porsche to be as loud and as obvious as possible, only the best will do.
