This is the SUV from MG that we won't see in Spain, but that will be a hit in India

The MG Majestor is a seven-seat SUV that the brand has launched for the Indian market and that will go on sale in mid-2025 to boost its range.

The brand MG is achieving good results in Europe, thanks to the addition of new models, both hybrid and electric. But this brand, which belongs to the SAIC Group, is not only present in the European market. It is also present in India, where it has sold vehicles that we do not see in our market. At least for now, and under the brand name under which they are presented there.

At the recent Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, the SAIC Group brand presented a new three-row, seven-seat SUV. It is a robust SUV, which will sit at the top of the brand’s range and aims to offer features that keep occupants comfortable and let them move about as far as they need to.

It is not a completely new vehicle; it is based on a model seen in other brands within the group. One of those models is the Maxus D90, which has been redesigned to suit the Indian market and to offer features that appeal to buyers in the country.

It is a vehicle with square, powerful lines, with a front dominated by a large grille and a fairly prominent guard. The LED headlights have a modern design. At the rear, the light clusters are joined by an LED strip that runs across the full width of the SUV. The twin exhausts are located in the rear bumper, which also serves as the diffuser.

It will be the largest, longest and widest SUV in the MG range in India, so this is a vehicle aimed at buyers with a certain economic standing who are looking for comfort and efficiency in their choice.

No interior details yet

No details of the interior have been made public yet, but given that this model is based on others in the group, we can look at the already mentioned Maxus D90. It features a 12.3-inch central screen. It also has a heated, ventilated driver’s seat with massage function, three-zone climate control and a 12-speaker audio system. A panoramic roof and advanced ADAS are also offered.

We also know nothing definitive about the engines, although we can expect a twin-turbo four-cylinder 2.0-litre diesel engine, with 215 CV of power and 480 Nm of torque. It will be paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and will be able to send power to the rear wheels or to all four, if necessary.

The MG Majestor will launch in India in mid-2025 and will be priced between 43,000 and 45,000 euros at current exchange rates. We do not know whether it will reach the Spanish market, but it would be a good option for anyone looking for a seven-seat SUV with good equipment.
