Three personalized RAV4 PHEVs that will surprise you at the Tokyo Motor Show

The Tokyo Motor Show 2023 will take place from January 13 to 15. There, Asian manufacturers will present their new products and, of course, Japanese brands will be the almost absolute protagonists of the event. Toyota will present its new products and among them three vehicles will stand out. They have been created by Toyota Industries, the company’s brand division in charge of industrial vehicles.

These three Toyota RAV4 PHEV have passed through the hands of the company’s engineers, resulting in three customized models called Adventure PKG, OffRoad PKG and the Sporty PKG. These unique models are designed to highlight the crossover characteristics of these vehicles, which are very successful not only in Japan.

Three unique models to stand out

The Adventure PKG variant shows no visible differences from the production model, so they will have to explain what makes it a unique and different model. But if we look at the other two variants, we do find differences that set them apart from the one found on the market.

The OffRoad PKG features a personalized two-tone livery. It also equips a Yakijima roof rack and its wheels are fitted with off-road tyres. The mudguards are red and the front bumper has LED lights. A protective coating has been applied to the side sills and an additional fuel tank has been added.

For its part, the Sporty PKG is more focused on road use. The body kit adds a front bumper extension with a sporty design and fake air intakes. The wheel arch mouldings and side sills are in the body colour. The wheels also have a larger diameter.

It has two body tones, with a silver tone and a black finish on the roof, the mirror covers and the alloy wheels. Apparently, these elements come from the Toyota RA4 GR-Sport with the European market specifications recently spotted. The LED headlights with yellow indicators come from the model with the specifications of the variant launched in the United States.

As for the engine, all three variants are powered by the plug-in hybrid system with a 2.5-litre combustion engine coupled to two electric motors. Together they deliver a total output of 225 kW, equivalent to 302 CV.
