Tokyo Show: Mitsubishi Mirage

The vehicle you see on screen is by no means one of those cars that will hardly ever leave Japan. It is the model chosen by Mitsubishi to generationally replace its small Colt, a city car that has been with us for far too many years, so it is no surprise that it has completely lost its place in the market.

Unfortunately, with this vehicle the Japanese brand may not have quite managed to match European taste. We are not saying it is ideal and perfect for other markets, but precisely in Europe these trends stopped being followed long ago. Perhaps the only saving grace is the rear, which in some way reminds me a lot of the Opel Corsa

Even so, the most notable aspect of this new vehicle, aside from its selling price according to Mitsubishi, will be the maintenance costs, even lower than those of the current Colt, so the new Mirage should be much more attractive in the medium/long term than many of its direct rivals
