Toyota C-HR Limited Edition Amarillo Wasabi: is the limited edition worth it?
Toyota launches in Spain the limited Amarillo Wasabi edition of the Toyota C-HR, of which 150 units will be built, with a price from 31,550 euros.
There is no need to uncover at this stage the keys that have made the Toyota C-HR a sales hit. And not only in Spain, but also in Europe. If you want to go deeper, you can even read the road test of the Toyota C-HR here. We also told you about the news in the Toyota C-HR 2019 range, with more equipment and customisation options.
The price premium of this version over the top-of-the-range C-HR is about 2,000 euros.
Now, Toyota has decided to launch a limited edition of 150 units for the Spanish market of one of its best-known hybrid models. It was presented at the Barcelona Motor Show, under the name Toyota C-HR Limited Edition Amarillo Wasabi. And as you can imagine from the photographs and the name, the body colour is serious business.
What makes the Toyota C-HR Amarillo Wasabi exclusive?
The answer is very simple. First, its striking (to put it mildly) Amarillo Wasabi body colour, with the black roof. I can assure you that among all the cars and spotlights at the Barcelona Show, it could be recognised from a mile away. So, if you like to attract attention, you know what to do. Hurry, there are few units.

The personalisation continues inside, with a pleasant black mixed leather and Alcantara upholstery. In addition, as distinctive equipment, this limited edition adds to the standard equipment of the C-HR Dynamic Plus the navigation system and a package of elements signed by JBL.
Accessories include waterproof JBL Endurance Dive headphones, a second pair of JBL Tune 600 BTNC headphones for use at home, and a JBL Pulse 3 portable speaker with Bluetooth connection, which changes colour according to the music being played. On top of this, Toyota adds a JBL Club subscription, as well as six months of free subscription to the Deezer music streaming service.

Of course, the 150 customers who decide to pay the 31,550 euros that the Toyota C-HR Limited Edition Amarillo Wasabi costs will also see their car identified by more than just the colour: the numbered plates take care of that, located on the exterior and on the console.
Is the Toyota C-HR Amarillo Wasabi worth it?
Assuming you like the colour, that you are attracted by the JBL speaker pack, or both at once, what you should know is that, with the official discounts, the Toyota C-HR Dynamic Plus, on which this limited edition is based, has a discounted price of 29,550 euros. In this case, the price of exclusivity is therefore 2,000 euros.

That said, mechanically, or from a functional point of view, this limited edition adds nothing beyond its differentiation. But if it appeals to you, it is not a bad price. Just remember that the C-HR Dynamic Edition already includes items such as 18″ alloy wheels, the JBL audio system or automatic Full LED headlights. And, of course, as a good hybrid, it also has the ECO label.
