UAZ Patriot: the Russian off-roader

A new vehicle from the Russian manufacturer UAZ is now on sale in Spain. The UAZ Patriot is the most modern model from the Russian brand, a pure off-roader (similar to the Santana Anibal) available with two engine options.

It can be fitted with a 2.7-litre petrol engine -on request- or a 130 CV 2.7 TD intercooler diesel engine with a five-speed manual gearbox. The Patriot is a purist off-roader with excellent off-road capability. In fact, the videos on the website show just how well it handles snow.

It comes in three trim levels: the Classic, which includes dual airbags, 16-inch wheels, light sensor, tinted windows, etc.; the Limited adds four electric windows, central locking, electric mirrors, side steps, fog lights and a spare wheel cover; and the Limited Plus adds air conditioning, heated front seats, an auxiliary water heater, velour upholstery, roof rails and an electronic immobiliser to the above.

The prices are as follows: Classic €34,460, Limited €36,500 and Limited Plus €38,628. As a proper off-roader, it comes with a low-range gearbox that gets it through almost any situation, along with good ground clearance.
