Although it has been a few weeks since we had the chance to see the Volkswagen Arteon and learn that June would be the month chosen to launch it on the market, the German brand has now released an extensive image gallery to show in detail the three versions in which it will be sold in Spain. These photos show us many details of this new model, which arrives to bring the elegance of Volkswagen in saloon form.

The first trim level takes the same name as the model, Arteon, and has a functional look, with equipment that can be described as outstanding. The three-zone climate control, as well as LED headlights. Inside we find the Discover Media infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen and the CarNet App-Connect system, which allows access to smartphone apps from the same screen.

In terms of equipment, there are driver assistance systems such as the acoustic parking sensor, the Lane Assist lane departure warning system, and the Front Assist function with Adaptive Cruise Control. The wheels available for the Arteon trim are 18 inches. Moving on to the Elegance and R-Line trims, we find other elements that raise the model’s status.

The Elegance trim has a more classic look, while the R-Line has a sportier body and finishes. The wheels available for these two trims are 19 inches, with 20-inch wheels as an option. The interior adds Alcantara and leather to its design, and the VW digital instrument cluster dominates the space in front of the driver, as well as featuring a rear-view camera.

The Arteon trim will come with four engines: a 2.0 TDI direct-injection turbo unit of 150 hp, a 1.5 TSI* Evo of 150 hp with active cylinder management, and two TSI and TDI engines of 190 hp. The Elegance and R-Line trims add two more direct-injection turbo engines, TSI and TDI, with outputs of 280 and 240 hp respectively and 4MOTION all-wheel drive. All engines can be combined with a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox, except the 150 hp TSI engine, which is only available with a six-speed manual gearbox.
