Volkswagen E-Up!
The Volkswagen E-Up! is the first production model in the brand’s history to be purely electric. Its batteries provide a range of 150 km, and the motor delivers 82 CV of power. It will be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show after the summer.

Volkswagen has unveiled the E-Up!, a fully electric version based on the German brand’s small city car. After four years of prototypes, the E-Up! will be officially presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show next September. It has currently been displayed at an investor press conference in Wolfsburg.
Unlike a petrol Volkswagen Up!, the E-Up! replaces the thermal engine with an electric motor capable of delivering a maximum power to the front wheels of 82 CV and a continuous power of 55 CV (40 kW). The maximum torque is 210 Nm, while the total weight of the vehicle exceeds 1,185 kg.

The batteries supplying electrical energy to the motor are lithium-ion and provide a maximum range of 150 km. Their capacity is 18.7 kWh, and 80% of their charge can be restored in 30 minutes. However, while driving, thanks to energy regeneration during braking, the total distance covered by the vehicle may increase by a few kilometres.
With this powertrain, the Volkswagen E-Up! accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 14 seconds and reaches a top speed of 135 km/h. These figures place the brand’s first purely electric model in a vehicle designed by and for the city, with occasional forays onto the open road.

In terms of styling, the Volkswagen E-Up! stands out from the rest of the range thanks to its LED daytime running lights and aerodynamically optimised underbody. The four light-alloy wheels are 15 inches, and the interior has been designed to match the wheels, with grey seats featuring blue stitching. The cabin is complemented by leather and some chrome details.
