The Volkswagen Sharan changes prices and diesel versions

In the family vehicle segment, the Volkswagen Sharan has been on sale in Spain for several years, becoming something of a classic despite its somewhat inflated price. And speaking of prices, the Sharan will undergo changes to its final price, along with the addition of a new diesel version and the replacement of another of its diesel engines.

Sharan prices have gone up, as the German brand has raised the range’s prices by 1,000 euros. However, the level of discounts Volkswagen is offering on the Sharan balances out the new prices, with discounts of between 4,500 and 5,000 euros, so the entry-level version, the Volkswagen Sharan Travel 2.0 TDI 115 CV BT, will be priced at 31,305 euros.

The newcomer to the engine family is a new 2.0 TDI diesel engine with 115 CV, with a 6-speed manual gearbox and equipped with the Start/Stop system. This engine will be the least powerful option in the Sharan, but it will also deliver the best fuel economy, with an average consumption of 5.5 l/100 km. Continuing with the diesel engines, there will be a replacement for the 170 CV engine, swapped for another TDI diesel, but with 177 CV. This engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox, achieving combined-cycle consumption of 5.8 l/100 km.

A new trim level called Travel will be added, with 5 seats as standard. Its equipment includes active bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, front and rear parking distance control, cruise control, three-zone climate control, heated and electrically adjustable mirrors, 4 electric windows, a leather three-spoke steering wheel, a CD/MP3 radio, an MDI multimedia socket, 8 speakers and 16-inch alloy wheels with 215/60 tyres.

Sharan prices in Spain will be as follows:
