Volvo Concept Coupe: The Return of the P1800

After several hints and teasers, Volvo has finally unveiled one of its most revealing and attractive concepts of recent years. This is the Concept Coupe, a prototype that is sure to generate plenty of discussion.
With clean, muscular lines, this model previews the design of the Swedish brand’s upcoming models, while also standing out as a technical showcase of Volvo’s creative capability.
The exterior boasts a truly attractive design, with smooth yet strong lines that make up one of the most beautiful designs of recent months. There are also nods to the iconic P1800, such as the “floating” grille, which continues at the rear with boomerang-shaped taillights. Now “Volvo” can be read between the two headlights, which also irresistibly recalls the 1960s coupé.
Inside, the style and luxurious aura remain intact, with a very continuous design that flows across the width of the cabin, creating a sense of robustness. The entire dashboard is finished in premium-quality leather, while the trim and inserts are made of high-quality metal or wood.

The Volvo Concept Coupé is powered by the new Drive-E technology, combining a turbocharged 4-cylinder inline petrol engine with an electric motor. Total system output is around 400 CV, with a torque figure of over 600 Nm.
All these advances in engineering and design will make their debut on the new XC90, which will be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
