The Volvo V60 2018 arrives with more technology, safety and new plug-in hybrid versions.

The new Volvo V60 2018 has been built on the same modular platform as the XC60 and several versions of the 90 Series. The Swedish family saloon will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show with many new technology and safety features, as well as several plug-in hybrid versions. According to Volvo, the new V60 “will open a new horizon in the premium mid-size estate segment thanks to its luxurious interior, greater roominess, cutting-edge connectivity, driver assistance systems and the latest safety technologies from Volvo Cars”.

The latest from Volvo in safety and automated driving

The Volvo V60 2018 offers several driver assistance technologies, including the City Safety system with autonomous braking. This system incorporates several sensors that detect the presence of pedestrians, cyclists and large animals and prevents a frontal collision when the car approaches them dangerously.

The Volvo family saloon also includes a semi-autonomous driving system, Pilot Assist. This system takes control of acceleration, braking and steering at speeds of up to 130 km/h.

The new Volvo V60 also offers several safety systems focused on steering assistance, such as the oncoming vehicle collision mitigation system and the run-off road prevention system.

In 2019 it will be offered in a plug-in hybrid version

The new Volvo V60 2018 can be acquired through the Care by Volvo premium subscription service. It is a payment method similar to renting – the customer pays a monthly fee to use the car – although without several of the advantages offered by that option.
