The motoring world is buzzing with the return of the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, a supercar designed as a tribute to the original 1967 model that is about to go on sale, but first the brand wants to demonstrate its impressive capability. In a video recently published by Alfa Romeo, the 33 Stradale prototype reaches its top speed of 333 km/h on the iconic Nardò ring.

Alfa Romeo is completing a series of rigorous dynamic tests at the Nardò Technical Center, in Italy. These tests, which include evaluations of aerodynamics, cooling systems, cabin soundproofing and stability at high speeds, aim to ensure that the 33 Stradale lives up to the high expectations its name carries. This meticulous process is key, as the first 33 units, all sold, will begin to be delivered in December.

At the heart of the 33 Stradale is a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine that produces more than 620 horsepower, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and a limited-slip electronic differential. This combination allows the supercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds. In addition, the Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes provide enviable stopping power, bringing the car from 100 to 0 km/h in less than 33 metres.

The famous Nardò circuit, with its 12.6 km circular track, was the ideal setting to confirm the vehicle’s top speed and other critical parameters. Alfa Romeo also took the prototype to the Balocco test track, where they evaluated the car’s balance, braking system and behaviour at different speeds. Even without the traction control system, the 33 Stradale showed precise and surprising handling, designed to inspire confidence in both experienced drivers and enthusiasts.
