Will McLaren the SLR be resurrected with 25 new units?

This is what the vehicle on display these days at the Essen Motor Show seems to suggest (until next Sunday, 5 December). It is called the McLaren Edition SLR and production will be limited to 25 units.
The changes compared to the SLR we all know mainly affect the bodywork. The most notable are the new shapes of the front and rear bumpers, the black-painted wheels and the large rear diffuser.
The engine remains the same: a V8, 5.4 litres, supercharged and 626 CV. No complaints there. The chassis and suspension have been modified in order to improve the driving experience.
Production of the SLR ended a year ago, when its successor, the SLS AMG, was unveiled. So you’re in luck, because if you weren’t able to buy the SLR at the time, now you have a new opportunity. Hurry, they’re running out!
