Renault Twingo Electric Cars Urban
Will the electric Renault Twingo be the cheapest EV on the market? Its price is now official.
Vying to be the cheapest electric car, the electric Renault Twingo sets a price that competes head-on with the most affordable EVs on the market.
We had our doubts about the price of the electric Renault Twingo, especially with the arrival of a rival that runs in parallel but does not compete directly, either in segment or target, yet could match it in price with the price of the Dacia Spring. Would it be one of, at least, the 3 electric cars on the market? We already anticipated that the 100 percent electric version of this veteran, reinvented city car has failed to claim any of the podium places for being the most affordable EV.
In fact, with the publication and activation of the brand’s configurator, we now know the price of the cheapest Renault Twingo as well as that of the limited edition. Indeed, the Renault Twingo Electric Zen will be the cheapest, costing from 19,425 euros.
On the other hand, although the trim level of the Renault Twingo Electric SL Vibes is an exclusive production, it costs only 887 euros more. The entry-level version’s equipment is very complete, it must be said, thanks to 15-inch alloy wheels, darkened rear windows, a height-adjustable steering wheel with leather trim, a driver’s seat that is height-adjustable and folds with a ‘one touch’ function, navigation and the Sound pack, the Renault Easy Link infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen, or automatic climate control, among others. The Vibes adds only a switch to 16-inch wheels, distinctive exterior vinyls and an upholstery in leather and fabric specific to this version, and it has a recommended retail price starting at 20,312 euros.
In any case, these prices offered through the brand’s website include the discounts and promotions that these cars and their buyers may qualify for. That is, it is the minimum price at which a Renault Twingo Electric can be bought with discounts. Without these, the amounts rise, in the case of the Renault Twingo Electric Zen price, to 23,415 euros, while for the SL Vibes the same applies up to 24,312 €.
