Will the Toyota A-BAT Concept arrive in 2014 under the Scion brand?

Now that in North America the public is leaning toward all kinds of smaller and more practical vehicles, the pick-up segment won’t be left behind either. And the A-BAT Concept could see the light of day under the Scion brand.
First of all, let us tell you that the A-BAT Concept is a pick-up crossover presented as a concept by Toyota in 2008, and that it has quietly endured rumours of cancellation and of production over the course of three years.
But now Toyota has one more reason to bring the A-BAT back into the spotlight. The creation of a crossover pick-up segment and the survival of the small pick-up truck segment, a sector that is being seriously threatened by weak sales and changing consumer habits.
The A-BAT will arrive in 2014 and will most likely be a Scion, which means its arrival in Europe is not very likely. But it fills a gap that needed filling: a crossover with cargo space. A revived and scaled-down Pontiac Aztek, and perhaps with a hybrid engine, since the original A-BAT was also one.
