10th Anniversary Commemorative Edition of the Audi R8 with V10 engine
Audi celebrates 10 years of the V10 engine in the Audi R8 with the special Audi R8 V10 Decennium edition
The Audi R8 V10 Decennium is nothing less than an exclusive piece. Limited to just 222 units worldwide, it will serve as the witness and representative of how the ten-cylinder V-configuration engine has been the best possible powerplant for the always muscular Audi R8.
Since its debut in 2009, the Audi R8 V10 has represented the top of the range. With special editions throughout a decade, now is the time to put the cherry on a delicious cake, the moment for the special Audi R8 V10 Decennium edition.
A tribute to the V10 engine in the Audi R8 V10 Decennium itself

The engine of this Audi R8 V10 Decennium is, logically, the naturally aspirated unit with 10 cylinders in a 90-degree V layout and a displacement of 5.2 litres. A dry-sump lubricated engine, mounted in a mid-rear position and placed very low to the asphalt, which allows an equally low centre of gravity. In addition, the fitting of an improved suspension allows it to run very close to the road surface.
A powerful mechanical heart capable of producing a spectacular 620 CV and a maximum torque of 510 Nm transmitted to the wheels. This, inexorably combined with quattro, the brand’s signature all-wheel drive, catapults the Audi R8 V10 Decennium to a top speed of 331 km/h and allows it to clock a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds.
Distinctions for the Audi R8 V10 Decennium
To differentiate this Audi R8 V10 Decennium from any other trim, Audi has equipped it with a unique exterior package.
The standout feature is the exclusive Daytona Grey matt finish on the bodywork, which contrasts with enormous 20-inch lacquered alloy wheels in matt bronze, a colour that, as a distinctive touch, also appears on the engine’s intake manifold of the Audi R8 V10 Decennium.
And, to set it apart from other versions, the four-rings badge has also been given colour, specifically black. The same colour as the front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser, but in gloss finish for these elements.
The side deflectors associated with the bumper and the mirror housings not only look striking but are made from glossy carbon fibre, serving also as an aesthetic distinction.
The cockpit of the Audi R8 V10 Decennium
In the cabin, the fortunate 222 people who acquire one of these Audi R8 V10 Decennium will see this glossy carbon fibre splashed across an interior also upholstered in elegant black that pervades this limited special edition.
The combination of black and copper shown in the exterior image is replicated inside. More specifically, in the sports seat upholstery, where stitching made with copper-coloured threads highlights the darkness of the black upholstery.
But, as a distinguishing touch, the “Decennium” name appears spread in the form of plaques or inscriptions on the centre console, sills, the engraving between the gear lever and the selector on the central bridge, and projected as a beam of light when the doors are opened.
All of it pays homage to the V10 block in the engine bay of the Audi R8 models that have been enjoyed by their drivers with a sensational engine that truly deserves what it costs.
At least in the more general versions, since although the price of the Audi R8 V10 Decennium has not been disclosed, it is expected to exceed the 200,430 euros of the most modest version in the range and approach the Performance variants, which start at 220,430 euros for the coupé and 235,230 for the Spyder.
Be that as it may, it is clear that, with 222 units produced, the appreciation of each one will be an investment easily recovered should you intend to sell any of these special-edition Audi R8 V10 Decennium models.
