2018 Monaco F1 Grand Prix: preview, schedule and how to watch it on TV
Find out the timetable for following the most glamorous event in Formula 1: the 2018 Monaco GP, taking place this weekend: 24, 26 and 27 May.

After the Spanish GP, the Formula 1 world gets back into action this weekend with one of the most anticipated grands prix of the year: the 2018 Monaco GP. It will be the sixth grand prix of the season, held on the most famous street circuit in the world, and also the most expensive of all those held throughout the year, although that does not diminish the anticipation in terms of attendance in the slightest.
At just 3.3 kilometres, the Monte Carlo circuit is the shortest the drivers will face, and likewise the slowest and most technical. That is why many drivers consider that at the Monaco GP the strengths are evened out, because it is not so much the car that matters but the drivers’ skill in navigating corners such as Loews or Rascasse safe and sound. Add to that traffic, the weather and other factors that may come into play.
After two consecutive victories, Lewis Hamilton arrives on a high for this race and will seek his third straight win in 2018 and his third win on Monegasque soil. Ferrari arrives with doubts after what was seen in Azerbaijan and at Montmeló, but the tifosi of the team hope that it will be in Monaco that the streak is broken, and they recall that last year they dominated both qualifying and the race, taking a one-two.
As for the Spanish drivers, we point out that Fernando Alonso returns to Monaco after his absence in 2017, as the Asturian preferred to race the Indianapolis 500. Carlos Sainz, for his part, has raced three times on this circuit and has always improved his position. Will the one from Renault be able to improve on last year’s fantastic sixth place? It won’t be easy, but the challenge is there.
