A 1,000 hp hybrid Spanish hypercar? Yes, it's called Boreas

The Spanish hypercar Boreas has been unveiled in images and will be officially presented this weekend at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

A new new supercar has been born, and it was born in our country. Its name is Boreas (named after the Greek god of the north winds), and it apparently features a hybrid engine that produces 1,000 hp.

The truth is that the model is clearly reminiscent of the GTA Spano, another supercar that, like the Boreas, was built in the Valencian Community. The new Spanish supercar has been unveiled in images and will be officially presented this weekend at an event ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The design of the Boreas is sure to make an impression on anyone. Its sharp nose and pronounced wheel arches are as aggressive as those of the McLaren P1, another model it considerably resembles. The bright blue bodywork is accompanied by a series of green accents that somewhat remind us this is a hybrid model, a detail we can also find on the Porsche 918 Spyder.

The supercar has been manufactured in Santa Pola (Alicante), will have 1,000 hp, and could offer up to 100 km of range in 100% electric mode. For now, that is all we know about the Boreas’s technical specifications.

Who will be this hypercar’s rivals? Until we know all the details of the car, it is difficult to give a precise answer, although for now three hybrid hypercars come to mind that could be good dance partners for our supercar: the Ferrari La Ferrari, the McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder.

As for its sale, we still don’t know where the Spanish supercar will be sold, although we do know that only 12 units will be produced in honour of the 12 descendants the mythological god it is inspired by had.
