A Ferrari FF bursts into flames in Poland

When we talk about Ferrari, we’re referring to a luxury car, exclusive and fast, where only a few fortunate people in this world can afford to have a Cavallino Rampante in their garage. Few people would think of Ferrari as a synonym for poor reliability, but that’s what it has been showing in recent years. It’s rare for a month to go by without one going up in flames, and May was no exception.

On this occasion, the protagonist is the brand’s first all-wheel-drive model, the Ferrari FF. This mid-engined V12 supercar was consumed by flames on the A4, near Kraków, in Poland. This is the third FF unit to be destroyed by fire. We’ve seen one in Germany and another in China, more recently.

A witness who spoke with the driver confirmed that the fire started spontaneously. He said the flames broke out in the cockpit through the pedals of the car. Fortunately, the driver managed to pull the vehicle to the side of the road and escape unharmed. Firefighters could not comment on the cause of the blaze; however, the images strongly support the drivers’ theory that the fire started near the engine bay.

Should Italians start to consider this serious problem? I think so, because it is neither the first nor the last time it has happened. I don’t imagine the owners are too pleased about watching more than €300,000 go up in flames.

Tienen un gran problema. Pero sus compradores tienen muchíiiiiiisimo más dinero que lo que vale un Ferrari y algunos más de lo que vale la fábrica Ferrari y eso hace que tampoco se preocupen demasiado.
