A Lamborghini Diablo destroyed by a truck in Germany
A Lamborghini Diablo was destroyed this morning in Germany when a truck rear-ended it while it was stopped on the hard shoulder.

The Lamborghini Diablo did not spring up like mushrooms in its day, nor are they cars you see on the street every day. The truth is that losing one of these examples to a truck is not a particularly dignified end for one of the greatest supercars of all time, but that is what happened today in Germany.
For some unknown reason, the driver of this Diablo stopped the vehicle on the hard shoulder at 6:40 in the morning, local time, perhaps due to some problem with the car. While the owner was out of the car, a truck slammed into the Diablo and catapulted it against the road barriers.
Fortunately the driver was not injured, although the Diablo seems to me to have been completely beyond repair. Only a wizard could bring this Lamborghini back to life (and that’s without counting the rear, which we can’t see in the photo).
