A super 500,000 km warranty: one more reason to consider the new SUV everyone is talking about
Jaecoo is opening the reservation period for the Jaecoo 7 with an incentive for its future customers: the first to reserve the new SUV will enjoy a warranty on the engine of half a million kilometres.

The Omoda Chery has made a strong entry into Spain with Omoda and its §6Cheryh7§, which is being a sales success. And in September the first model from its second brand, Jaecoo, will arrive, which is also an SUV, the Jaecoo 7.
Although its price is not yet known, if we consider the commercial strategy that OMODA Motor España has launched with the Omoda 5, everything points to it being very competitive. But when it comes to introducing a new brand to the market, an additional boost does no harm, and at Jaecoo they have chosen to win customers’ trust from the very beginning.
The Jaecoo 7’s super warranty: up to 500,000 km for the engine
To do so, the brand has opened a reservation period for its new Jaecco 7 on its official website, with a very interesting incentive: the first customers to reserve their car will get a warranty on the engine… of half a million kilometres!
For the moment there is no further information on this. Interested buyers must access the Jaecoo website and complete the reservation by filling in a form. During the process they can choose from among the more than 50 official dealerships the brand already has, and a deposit of 600 euros is required, which will be deducted from the final price of the model, although Jaecoo makes it clear that this amount is fully refundable if the user ultimately decides not to make the purchase.
It could not be otherwise considering that you are reserving a car whose price you do not know. Once the reservation is made, a sales representative of the brand will contact the user to arrange an appointment in which the price will be explained… and the fine print of this “super warranty”,
of which all we know right now is that it covers only the engine, and only a maximum mileage has been specified, but with no time limit. Outside this promotion, the Jaecoo warranty for the Jaecoo 7 should be 7 years or 150,000 km — for the whole vehicle, not just the engine — just as Omoda offers for its models.
Let us recall that currently the brand offering the longest warranty is Toyota, which reaches 15 years
, as long as the car does not exceed 250,000 km.
The main features of the Jaecoo 7
The Jaecoo 7 is a mid-size SUV, 4.5 metres long, so it squarely enters a highly contested segment, which includes models such as the Kia Sportage, the Hyundai Tucson or the Renault Austral, among many others. Unlike the Omoda 5 itself, the Jaecoo 7’s approach, with squarer lines, better TT dimensions and the option of all-wheel drive, is more “off-road” oriented. In fact, it advertises a wading depth of 60 cm, and the 4×4 versions will feature driving modes for sand, mud, off-road and snow
, in addition to the ability to lock the central and rear differentials.
Regardless of the drivetrain chosen, 4×2 or 4×4, the engine of the Jaecoo 7 for which the brand offers this extended warranty is a 1.6 petrol 4-cylinder with no type of hybridisation, rated at 147 CV and a maximum torque of 275 Nm, always paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch DCT gearbox. It is the same mechanical configuration as in the Omoda 5, although in this case with less power.
A plug-in hybrid version§h60§, the Jaecoo 7 PHEV, is expected later on, which will have a combined system output of 347 CV, 525 Nm of torque and an electric range of almost 90 km.
