The beautiful scenery of Porto Cervo has served as the backdrop for Alfa Romeo to present a new limited edition of the sports car Brera, named “Italia Independent“. The venue was not chosen at random, as it will be at a new sushi restaurant and lounge bar called “YOU” located in the old harbour, where a display unit of this edition will be on show this summer for the public to see.

Italia Independent, a luxury clothing and accessories brand, has teamed up with the Italian carmaker to create a Brera that is very special both inside and out. On the exterior it will not go unnoticed thanks to its matt Titanium Grey paint, which covers the entire bodywork and the 18-inch alloy wheels. It is combined with aluminium elements such as the fuel cap, the red brake calipers and the “Italia Independent” logo on the rear of the car.

The interior combines very dark tones on the seats and door panels with aluminium inserts on the pedals and carbon fibre on the dashboard and on the sports steering wheel in black leather with red stitching. There is also a polished aluminium plate bearing the “Italia Independent” logo on the front seats, and the instrument cluster now features red contours. As an option, a black Poltrona Frau leather upholstery with red stitching is available to further complement the décor.

The engines available for this edition will be the 2.2 JTS with 185 hp and the 3.2 V6 with 260 hp, the latter with the option of Q4 all-wheel drive. Both can be paired with a manual gearbox, Selespeed or the Q-Tronic automatic gearbox. Standard equipment includes VDC stability control, seven airbags, dual-zone climate control, cruise control and fog lights. Options include bi-xenon headlights, Bose Hi-Fi sound system, the Blue&Me multimedia system and parking sensors.

Only 900 units will be built, which will go on sale first in Europe and then reach Japan and Australia. Orders can be placed from September in Italy, where prices start at €32,200 for the 2.2 JTS with the Selespeed gearbox.
