Alfa Romeo Giulia canceled

With a model as spectacular already on the market as the Giulietta, a model that at the time also passed through the hands of Diego, we were all eager to see what the guys at Alfa Romeo would come up with to replace a veteran like the 159.

This model, named by Alfa Romeo itself as Giulia, was expected for mid-to-late this year, something that will not happen in the end thanks to Sergio Marchionne, CEO of the FIAT Group and Chrysler

Apparently, everything is due to the inclusion of Alfa Romeo itself in North America, something essential for a brand that wants to get out of the rut it is currently stuck in. Because of this, Marchionne has decided to delay the launch of the new Giulia by no less than two years.

On the other hand, it seems Marchionne is not at all happy with the final design of the Giulia, and even less with the models that Chrysler would have built on the Italian platform, which is reason enough to delay the arrival of the Giulia and give priority to Alfa Romeo’s incursion into the North American market.
