Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce S, a limited edition of 30 units exclusive to Australia

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta has been on the market since 2009 but is becoming an enduring model. Now, the Australian division of the Italian brand has just announced a new version of the stylish compact. It will be called Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce S.

The new Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce S will be limited to 30 units and will only be available in Australia. This limited edition version will only be available in the Alfa White, Alfa Black and Stromboli Gray Metallic colours.

The 30 units of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce S will hit the road with 18-inch black alloy wheels, along with several exterior badges in red and a grille. The wing mirrors will be fitted with exterior covers in carbon fibre. The same goes for the side steps.

Alfa Romeo has also equipped this new limited-edition exclusive model with an exhaust system called Elaborazione 1919 from the supplier Magneti Marelli. In the ‘jargon’ of the Italian brand, this means it will be hard to find a more noisy and aggressive Alfa Romeo Giulietta than this one.

As for the interior of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce S, it can be said that it features a Bose High Performance sound system with up to ten speakers and distinctive floor mats with red Giulietta logos and a badge reading Veloce S. Also inside, the 30 lucky customers who get behind the wheel of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce S, as well as other variants, will be able to see a flat-bottomed steering wheel, leather upholstery combined with Alcantara, sports pedals, a very dark roof and some carbon fibre details.

The carmaker has stated that the model reaches the market with up to 7,000 euros in additional components for only 4,000 euros more than a standard Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce. This exclusive limited edition from the Italian brand is powered by a 1.75-litre turbo engine capable of delivering 237 CV and a maximum torque of 340 Nm. This engine is coupled to a dual-clutch transmission with six speeds that drives the front wheels.

Other key features of the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce S are launch control, Brembo front brake calipers, sport suspension and an intake sound generator.

This special edition from the Italian manufacturer arrives ahead of an improved model expected in Australia in a few months. Guillaume Drelon, brand and product strategy director at FCA Australia, has assured that “the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce S Edition is a sporty addition to the Giulietta line that will surely excite drivers looking for a car that evokes sophistication.

“The S edition of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce is not only a premium style variant of the Veloce, but also offers customers an advantage of almost 50 per cent over the added content before on-road costs”, Drelon concluded.
