Brabus 800, or how to radicalise a Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+
The Brabus 800 is the version modified by the specialist Brabus of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+
We know Brabus for its products, always extreme. In fact, the world has already received Brabus 800 before. But when the base car is, in itself, the most radical saloon from Mercedes-AMG, the result can only be a proposal as hardcore as the new Brabus 800.
But let’s go back to the beginning.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+ is the saloon developed by the AMG department of Mercedes-Benz, a car that takes the platform of the Mercedes-Benz CLS and adapts the only product truly its own from Mercedes-AMG, the Mercedes-AMG GT in both coupé and roadster body styles.
Based on this superb sports car, Mercedes-Benz decided to propose a saloon that would rival that of its neighbour, Porsche and its Porsche Panamera.
The result was a spectacular four-door with a wheelbase long enough to offer two sporty seats at the front and a rear bench for two more adults, in real life, offering a driving experience as thrilling as that of the coupé but with a saloon body.
To give the four-door Mercedes-AMG GT some extra spirit, a 3-litre engine producing 367 CV and 500 Nm was chosen, or one with 435 CV and 520 Nm of torque and, at the top of the range, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+, whose 4-litre, eight-cylinder V-engine with twin turbochargers delivers no less than 639 CV and a brutal 900 Nm of torque, capable of towing yachts without breaking a sweat.
But when the factory product is not enough, there are tuners like Brabus to get their hands on a product that is already outstanding, as we told you after carrying out a first road test of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+.
From Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+ to Brabus 800
To begin with, the Brabus 800 modifies its styling, and not merely for show, as it features an aerodynamic package that improves the efficiency of its cut through the air and reduces overall weight thanks to lightweight materials, as seen at the rear, where, in addition to a glossy carbon-fibre spoiler on top and a lower one that enhances the fluid dynamics effect, it fits exhausts of its own manufacture which, besides improving the engine’s gas outflow, make the car’s hoarse roar even more brutal than the standard car’s.
The monobloc wheels, 21 inches at the front axle and 22 at the rear, are also part of this package and conceal a braking system that boosts the bite should you need to stop this 800 CV beast. Yes, 800 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 1,000 Nm of torque at 3,600 rpm.
Thanks to this combination of styling, dynamics and “muscle”, the Brabus 800, based on the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+, achieves a sprint from 0 to 100 in 2.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 315 km/h.

Brabus, inside
And, as is customary with this type of tuning, the Brabus 800 package for the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+ includes an arsenal of modifications and upgrades to its interior.
To name but one example, the exclusive seats display and replicate the handiwork behind this spectacular modification, as well as the steering wheel, the pedals, the gear selector and other different inserts featuring the Brabus name and logo plates, just as on the bodywork, the grilles and the wheels.
