Although Aston Martin is an English manufacturer, some components of its models, and more specifically of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, appear not to be entirely English.

What can be seen in the image is the key of a V8 Vantage that was damaged. The vehicle belonged to the company Rio Prestige, which is dedicated to renting luxury cars and vehicles, and according to Edward Legge, its manager, a customer accidentally damaged the Aston Martin key and the Swedish roots of the brand emerged.

Remember that Aston Martin belonged to the PAG of Ford and, among other things, used common elements from the different brands of the group, and many coming from Volvo, except that they usually remained hidden from the consumer.

That said, this is now harder to happen, as the company has become an independent manufacturer again and its keys have gained a lot in quality, as the new “Emotion Control Unit” keys clearly show, which use a block of crystal instead of plastic.
