Alpina B8 Gran CoupÉ, the BMW with an even more striking grille
The transformation company Alpina has worked to update the new BMW 8 Series and has unveiled the Alpina B8 Gran Coupé, which brings new features.

The tuner Alpina has unveiled its version of the BMW 8 Series, the Alpina B8 Gran CoupÉ, a version that adds a spicy touch and something a bit more exciting than the base model. Among the new features and the changes compared with the BMW car, we find more decorative details and additional colours that reinforce the changes made to the 8 Series not long ago.
One of the most notable changes is the front grille, which they call BMW Icon Glow. It has a special feature: it features subtle lighting in the surround. This makes the front end even more visible and gives it a more original touch.

The front fascia has larger air intakes, which allow better engine ventilation. At the rear there is a black diffuser and a rear spoiler that improves the car’s aerodynamics. The wheels are the legendary 20-spoke 21-inch wheels that the company usually fits and that have become its trademark. They are shod with Pirelli tyres with noise cancellation, which makes driving more pleasant.

The colours added for the BMW 8 Series are complemented by Alpina Blue Metallic and Alpina Green, both common in the company’s builds. In addition, buyers are offered several colours from the BMW Individual range and from BMW. As a result, the range of bodywork colour options grows considerably and adds variety to the model.
Optimised mechanics
To improve control and handling, the suspension has been modified and is more precise in this variant. The anti-roll bars have been reinforced, there are stiffer suspension mounts, hydraulic mounts have been added to the front axle, along with Eibach springs. With all of this, the aim has been to make it more pleasant to drive and to increase the sense of driving engagement.
Engine
The Alpina B8 Gran Coupé was presented in March 2021. It features a 4.0-litre V8 BMW engine with two turbochargers that produces 612 CV and 800 Nm of torque. This figure is reached at just 2,000 rpm. With these numbers, the model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in 11.6 seconds. The top speed of the model is 324 km/h.
The price of this model starts at 162,100 euros in Germany and it can already be reserved.
