Apocalypse-proof: this is the spectacular Jeep Gladiator Apocalypse 6 x 6

This variant, created by the specialist in turning vehicles into much more radical versions, features three driven axles and other modifications.

No matter how striking a vehicle is, a tuner can always make it even more imposing and give it a more powerful image. That is the case of the Jeep Jeep Gladiator, which is already a very appealing off-road vehicle in its own right. But when it passes into the hands of the professionals at the American company Apocalypse 6 x 6, its spectacular image is multiplied. By six.

The American company has worked to fit the vehicle with three axles, which adds two more driven wheels to the Gladiator. Very much in the style of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class 6 x 6. All three axles receive power from the engine, so very few challenges can resist it.

Extreme modifications

To create this radical variant of the vehicle, Apocalypse 6 x 6 has increased the size of the pick-up bed. It now measures 2.84 metres and has improved its load capacity. In addition, it has fitted a roll cage made specifically for the model. There are further changes to the bodywork, but elements that are so emblematic of the model have been kept, such as its removable roof and the doors characteristic of the Gladiator.

One of the changes applied to the exterior of the Gladiator Apocalypse 6 x 6 is the Kevlar cladding added to the outside. The front bumper has been reinforced with a 1/4-inch extender and a winch capable of pulling 4,309 kg. The LED headlights can change colour, and the bonnet has been moulded in fibreglass. An additional LED light bar provides greater visibility at night or in adverse lighting conditions.

Other additional features are electronically activated side steps, which deploy when the doors are opened. A towing hitch has been added to the steel rear bumper. To improve the Gladiator’s off-road capabilities, the suspension has been modified, allowing it to tackle even more demanding terrain.

Inside, a more advanced audio system has been added, with Bluetooth connectivity and compatibility with smartphones. The upholstery has also been improved and is more comfortable than that of a less upgraded version of the Gladiator.
