Apollo Intensa Emozione: the one-of-a-kind hypercar

The Apollo Intensa Emozione arrives to go head-to-head with the fastest vehicles in the world. It features a naturally aspirated V12 engine producing 780 CV and 760 Nm.

Sports cars are evolving into a new world where they coexist with batteries, and that is why most of the most radical vehicles feature a hybrid engine. It has already been shown that combining a combustion engine with an electric one generates staggering raw power. But the Apollo Intensa Emozione remains true to the supercars of yesteryear.

The new hypercar from the German manufacturer says “no” to turbos and batteries and says “yes” to naturally aspirated engines. The Apollo is a rara avis with its naturally aspirated V12 engine, which produces 780 CV of pure power.

The new Apollo claims to be one of the fastest vehicles in the world and arrives to instil fear in its main rivals. The Apollo Intensa Emozione has a claimed weight of just 1,250 kilograms, which, combined with its 6.3-litre V12 and 760 Nm of torque, is capable of catapulting the car to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 335 km/h.

But this is not achieved through raw power alone. The German engineers made sure the Intensa does not lift off the ground—although it probably could—and to do so they carried out an intense and exhaustive job on aerodynamics. The Apollo IE features a very intense design full of sharp lines. It exudes sportiness from every angle, and its aggressive and imposing rear wing, splitter and diffuser work together to give the Apollo excellent cornering balance and formidable stability.

To distribute power correctly, we have a six-speed sequential automatic gearbox with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. At the same time, we can see an exhaust outlet with a very unique shape and a competition-spec suspension. But everything the Apollo IE reaches will have to be brought back to zero at some point, which is why the German hypercar features carbon-ceramic brakes.

The interior of the Intensa Emozione is worthy of a Formula 1 car. It has a driver-focused cabin and all the elements needed to make the onboard experience very special. Exclusivity is also part of the new Apollo, which is why the buyer can take part in the development of the vehicle, and the seats are made to measure for each buyer. The Apollo Intensa Emozione is so unique that only 10 units will be built.
