Are we looking at a next-generation Honda NSX?

We are immersed in an era where leaks and teasers are somewhat rare. Nevertheless, Honda has unveiled an electric concept during the Monterrey Auto Week. Dubbed Electric Vision Concept, it was designed by the Honda Design Studio in Los Angeles, and everything seems to point to it becoming the future electric Honda NSX.

This model follows in the footsteps of the ZDX and the 2024 ZDX Type S. The brand has not published much data about the concept, but it has described it as “an electrifying design study with thrilling performance proportions that explores the future evolution of the Precision Crafted Performance design language as the brand transitions to a zero-emissions future.”

If we look closely at the teaser images, we can see an aggressive supercar that at first glance appears to be an evolution of the already legendary Honda NSX. Likewise, the concept features a more elegant front end with neon green lighting units and an illuminated brand badge.

Everything we know about the new Honda concept

The biggest changes occur at the rear, as the Electric Vision concept swaps crisp lines for fluid surfaces and smooth curves. We can also see a “canopy-like” cabin, digital side mirrors, and a design that appears meticulously focused on aerodynamics.

Details include a large diffuser, a slim light bar, and the brand’s letters in place of the logo.

Dave Marek, the company’s executive creative director, has noted that “this latest expression of a fully electric high-performance model is inspiring everyone in our studio to push boundaries, and we wanted to share the fun with our Honda fans.”

We’ll have to wait a while to find out whether this concept stays just that or whether the brand lets our dreams run free. It’s worth recalling that Honda already presented two electric sports cars last year, and we must remember that Honda plans to launch at least 30 electric models by 2030.
