The British brand has shown at the Swiss fair that the concept of “novelty” can carry plenty of nuances, because although the products it presents are unprecedented, they are either a more version of an existing model or something familiar to which a couple of details have been changed so it can be sold as an independent product.

This last one is the case of the Virage: a DB9 with the nose of the Rapide, a different side air intake, new wheels, another rear diffuser, 20 hp more for its 6.0 V12, and voilà, there you have it. If there really are customers who were not satisfied with either the DB9 or the DBS, this revival of a historic name for Aston Martin should meet what they were looking for. In Geneva we were able to see both the closed version and the Volante, although the convertible was the one with the more elegant colour.

The second and last “bombshell” from the Gaydon firm is the V8 Vantage S, also present in Geneva in both body styles. We have already told you almost everything there is to know about its modifications, so we will only try to let the photos from the show do it justice, helped by the blue chosen for its presentation. We are left not knowing whether the engine sounds even better than before or remains unchanged.
