ATS GT Launch Edition, the iconic Italian brand's comeback will roar with 827 CV of power

The brand announced its return to the market with this special edition supercar and after several months of waiting, we can finally see it and reservations are now open

ATS GT Presentacíon mundial

After several months of waiting since the launch of the ATS GT was announced, the reborn Italian brand has now unveiled the model that marks the return of Automobili Turismo e Sport (ATS). A supercar that represents the brand’s resurgence and the spiritual successor to the ATS 2500 GT. The company was active for a few years, competing in Formula 1, but poor results meant the brand did not last very long, and it had to give up on the market. Decades later, it announced that it was returning to business and that this model would mark its relaunch.

The car features a mid-mounted engine, with a carbon-fibre chassis covered by a body that also incorporates many elements made from this material. The size of the car sits between the Lamborghini Huracán and the slightly larger Aventador. The engine powering this new supercar is a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8, paired with a seven-speed automatic gearbox. The engine will be tuned to two power levels, depending on the buyer’s preference.

The first tuning offers 730 CV and a peak torque of 780 Nm, while the more powerful version will produce 827 CV and a peak torque of 949 Nm. No official figures have been released, but the Italian manufacturer claims the ATS GT will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reach 250 km/h in 9.6 seconds, which are quite spectacular numbers.

All this power will be managed by Brembo brakes, while the revised suspension will provide greater stability to the supercar. It will ride on Michelin Pilot Sport S4 or Cup 2 tyres, in 20 or 21-inch sizes. As for the electronics, it is expected to feature all the technology one would expect from a car of this calibre.

You will need to be quick to reserve one of these cars, as only 12 units will be made available, just as happened with the original ATS 2500 GT. The sale price is set at €740,000, which is lower than originally announced, and it will be offered alongside a luxury watch that pays tribute to the brand’s history.
