Porsche Cayman T: less weight and more power for the most enthusiastic version

The Porsche Cayman T will reach the market in 2019 with two confirmed improvements over the standard version: 20 kg less weight and 10 CV more than the Cayman S.
Last summer the new Porsche 718 Cayman T was unveiled, a version about which there has been little information until now. However, the German manufacturer is now beginning to reveal the first details of this model. Like the Porsche 911 T, the 718 Cayman T will offer driving dynamics aimed at an enthusiast audience. The new Cayman variant will mainly offer two improvements over the standard model: weight savings and better performance.

20 kg less than the standard Porsche Cayman T

The new Porsche 718 Cayman T introduces a series of changes to save weight: thinner glass, lighter sports seats, removal of the infotainment system (this is still to be confirmed) and fabric door pulls. Thanks to these changes, the Porsche 718 Cayman T will weigh 20 kg less than the standard model.

The car also includes a series of mechanical upgrades that optimise its performance: sports exhaust system, lowered bodywork, 20-inch alloy wheels, and the Sport Chrono package as standard (which introduces a driving mode that makes the most of the engine map, the Launch Control system and the Rev Matching function).

The car could be fitted with a turbocharged four-cylinder 2.5-litre petrol engine that would produce 360 CV (10 CV more than the Cayman S).

According to several rumours the car will have a price between 60,000 and 70,000 euros. In any case, we will soon know all the official details of the car, since the car will go on sale in 2019.
