Clase G Mercedes Electric Cars Todoterrenos
Attention! A small version of the Mercedes Class G will arrive, and it will be electric
Although nothing has been confirmed about this variant, the Mercedes off-roader is expected to arrive as a small electric off-roader.

The automotive world is always full of rumours. New models, upcoming variants and many other things that eventually become reality over the years. Or not. One of those rumours that has reached us comes from information published by the German outlet Handelsblatt. It concerns the popular off-roader the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
According to this information, the brand is considering the idea of offering SUV enthusiasts a version of the G-Class, one of the most highly rated off-roaders around, smaller and more manageable. That would become a variant suited to city driving.

A smaller and less capable version
This mini version of the Mercedes G-Class will offer its owners a vehicle with the same dynamic and bold look as the standard version, but in more compact proportions. It will be shorter, but this potential reduced version will have less height and its off-road capabilities will be considerably reduced.
According to the information available, this model will be built on the MMA platform, which will debut in 2024 and will serve as the basis for the company’s next generation of models, called “Entry Luxury“. These will also include vehicles such as the refreshed GLA and GLB, along with the CLA and the CLA Shooting Brake.
Another source, the magazine MotorTrend, indicates that this new variant of the Mercedes G-Class will have an electric powertrain. It refers to a battery pack capable of offering a range of just over 480 kilometres and based on 800-volt charging technology.
The company has wanted to stress that nothing is yet certain about this compact electric off-roader, but there are many voices in favour of it. Market momentum makes it possible to offer an SUV with off-road capabilities, and the possibility of it being electric is very appealing, given the direction the automotive industry is heading.
