Audi A1 Quattro

Audi has finally unveiled the A1 Quattro, the name that this long-awaited version has finally received as the RS1

Remember that Audi RS1 everyone has talked about at some point and that sooner or later we knew would arrive? Well, forget Audi RS1. The name chosen for this peculiar model is Audi A1 Quattro, a vehicle that will finally reach all markets in the form of a limited edition of 333 units.

As its main feature, the new Audi A1 Quattro measures 3.98 metres in length, 1.74 metres in width and 1.42 metres in height, which means this model is slightly longer than a standard Audi A1. For reference, this model has a 210-litre boot, or 860 litres with the rear bench folded down.

Styling inspired by the latest RS models

As you can see, although it has not been christened Audi RS1, it features certain details that make it very similar to the range, above all thanks to a really aggressive aerodynamic kit that is sure to leave no one indifferent. For reference, it will only be offered in glacier white with certain details painted in gloss black, such as the roof, diffuser, door arches and front grille.

As the crowning touch to this magnificent work, no less than beautiful alloy wheels in a turbine design, mounted on 18-inch rims. These wheels are fitted with high-performance 225/35 tyres on all four corners, a much more powerful braking system and a McPherson-type front axle suspension, electronic differential and ESP with sport mode.

Interior that lives up to expectations

If this special Audi A1 stands out for anything, it is the predominantly black colour throughout the cabin, a tone whose dominance is only interrupted by the hundreds of aluminium details across the bodywork and the red stitching on the seats, doors and the sport steering wheel, flat-bottomed at the base.

Beneath all these details, we find an Audi A1 equipped as standard with eye-catching features such as xenon Plus headlights, adaptive brake lights, LED interior and exterior lighting, an interior mirror with anti-dazzle position, light and rain sensors, rear parking assistance, air conditioning, alarm…

Mechanically, nothing beats a 2.0-litre TFSI

Specifically, this new Audi stands out for its beautiful 2.0-litre TFSI engine, capable of producing no less than 256 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 350 Nm between 2,500 and 4,500 rpm, power that is delivered to all four wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox.

A more than interesting output for a vehicle of this size and weight. Unsurprisingly, Audi claims that the new version of its Audi A1 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 245 km/h. The average fuel consumption will be around 8.5 litres/100 km
