Audi adds the 3.0 TDI V6 with 204 CV as the entry-level engine for the A8

The four-ring car brand adds a new entry-level engine to the range of its flagship, the A8. It is a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine producing 204 CV.
It will be available only for the short-wheelbase body with front-wheel drive. This entry-level Audi A8 comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox that cuts CO2 emissions to around 158 g/km.
As for its combined consumption, it now stands at around 6 litres per 100 km, a fairly modest figure for an A8 which, together with a full tank, allows it to cover up to 1,500 km. With this 204 CV V6 engine and 400 Nm of torque, it can reach 235 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 7.9 seconds.

As for the price, the new A8 with the 204 CV 3.0 TDI engine is available from 73,320 euros, which means cutting the entry price of the range by about 6,000 euros.
However, the news doesn’t end there, as Audi has also announced a new Comfort package and the start-stop system for all engines, except the 4.2 FSI, which reduces consumption by around 0.2 l/100 km.
The Comfort package now adds Valcona leather upholstery, a rear camera, four-zone automatic climate control, ambient interior lighting and electric opening of the boot. Another improvement is found in the Audi drive select system, which incorporates the “efficiency” driving mode and affects the response of the engine and gearbox, but also other elements such as the climate control or cruise control.
