Audi announces its new investment plan and, at the same time, confirms the launch of the A3 and R8 e-tron for 2012
Audi publishes the investments it plans to make in the short to medium term, while officially confirming the launches the company will carry out over the coming year

Apparently, certain brands have gone through hard times but have managed to bounce back in record time. Proof of this is Audi, which has just announced a 13 billion euro investment in the creation of new products and technologies, as well as in the expansion of its facilities by 2016.
Thanks to this investment, the company will be forced to hire no fewer than 1,200 specialists in 2012, joining the more than 3,500 jobs it has created throughout 2011. According to Audi, to fill positions requiring specialised staff, it will try to offer internships to a large number of students from academies and vocational training in their final years.

According to Thomas Sigi, member of the Board of Management for Human Resources at AUDI AG: “Our goal is to achieve strong growth on an international scale while strengthening our lean structure and our areas of electric mobility at a private level” “That is why we are going to try to hire more people, and we are planning to bring on another 1,200 professionals over the next year”
According to Axel Strotbek: “To maintain our profitable growth, we are going to increase investment spending on new products” “The Audi Group plans to invest more than 2 billion euros a year in new products and technologies“. As you can see, Audi is taking this very seriously, to the point that 10.5 billion euros will be invested between 2012 and 2016 in developing new models and future technologies oriented towards hybrid and electric vehicles.
As a final note, we learn that during 2012 the company will present no fewer than three new models, such as, not counting the hybrid version of the imposing Audi A8, the next generation of the Audi A3, the Audi A6 allroad quattro 2013, as well as the highly anticipated Audi R8 e-tron.
