Audi e-tron EQC Mercedes Reports
Audi e-tron vs Mercedes EQC. Which is your best option?
The battle between the e-tron and the EQC is on. Both are the first 100% electric SUVs from their respective brands and sit in the same performance bracket. The question is, which one is worth more?
Two of the most coveted brands, Audi and Mercedes, and two of the most anticipated cars face off today in a comparison to decide which one stands out over the other in various respects.
SUVs have seen their popularity and sales grow exponentially in recent years. Now, with electric power, the major car companies are betting on building fully electric vehicles in this segment. The e-tron and the EQC are among the most anticipated.

Audi e-tron, discover all its details.
Mercedes Benz EQC, the new 100% electric SUV from the German manufacturer.
Below we highlight the most important points of each vehicle so you can draw your own conclusions.
Which has more range? Which charges faster?
On the one hand, the Audi e-tron has an official range, according to the WLTP cycle, of over 300 kilometres on a single charge. The Mercedes EQC, on the other hand, claims it will be capable of covering 400 kilometres on a single charge.
As for charging, the Audi e-tron, thanks to its fast-charging system, will be able to charge 80% of the battery in 30 minutes. This means that in under an hour, if you have the necessary equipment for this type of charging, your car will be at 100%. This system will support up to 100 kW of maximum power.

The Mercedes EQC, on the other hand, will be able to cover 450 km on a single full charge according to the WLTP cycle. Something incredibly surprising if it turns out to be true, especially considering its large size and weight.
Its charging is also impressive, reaching up to 110 kW of maximum power on its fast-charging system, which translates into figures very similar to those of the Audi e-tron, and which, in fact, will be narrowly surpassed.

As we can see, in this section, though only just, the Mercedes EQC appears to be the winner.
What about its engines, what is their power?
Both vehicles will be equipped with more than enough power to handle practically any situation and offer the driver the option of a more dynamic drive or to prioritise comfort above all else.
The Audi e-tron has a combination of motors delivering 300 kW of power (408 CV) and 664 Nm of torque. It will also integrate the quattro all-wheel-drive system and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. It will also offer 7 different driving profiles.

The Mercedes EQC, however, presents even more impressive figures, especially considering its incredible range. It will have 300 kW of power (408 CV), and a maximum torque of 765 Nm. In addition, it will be able to reach 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds.
Again, as we can observe, very similar figures, but which, despite the slight difference, once again favour the EQC.
All the technology you need in both models
Both the Audi e-tron and the Mercedes EQC will come with the latest technological systems available on the market.
However, it is important to highlight that the e-tron has focused its efforts on innovation in this area, offering us mirrors with high-definition cameras or even the option to integrate Amazon’s AI, Alexa, which will provide plenty of useful features through voice commands. In fact, you will even be able to shop online while driving without having to take your eyes off the road.

The EQC, on the other hand, will feature its MBUX infotainment system, which debuted in the latest A-Class. This system will offer all the information you need about the vehicle and the route in real time, among other features.
Both will come with an external app to interact with the vehicle from anywhere.
In short, both will be very well equipped, however, we believe the Audi is the deserved winner in this department.
And what about its price?
We have finally reached the point many were waiting for. We have seen that both models are very similar and have no weaknesses in any area, however, their price may well end up being the deciding factor for customers.
Unfortunately, the price and official market launch date of the Mercedes EQC are still unknown, although everything points to 2019.
The Audi e-tron will go on sale at the end of 2018 and will cost €82,400.

Knowing the price of the e-tron, we can imagine the EQC’s won’t be very different from it, but we will have to wait to learn the official figures.
With all this in mind, which one would you choose?
