Audi puts the spotlight on the directive of Mercedes

The first data from the German sales ranking has been published, where BMW is consolidating its position as the best-selling brand, followed by Audi and Mercedes in third place

Before we go on, if you are a fan of Mercedes you probably won’t have liked the title of this post very much. I should tell you that we intend to talk about sales, a ranking on which the future of many brands depends and to which, whether they like it or not, three of the most powerful German companies in the sector are subject.

With this in mind, we find BMW, comfortably settled in first place in terms of sales. This is no surprise given the new BMW models on the market, Serie 6, Serie 5 or Serie 3, to name a few examples, as well as those yet to arrive. Precisely because of this high sales volume, they can afford to develop much more expensive and exclusive models, such as the new M cars.

Behind them, Mercedes was until now followed very closely by Audi, a situation that could change sooner than we expect. In fact, a month before the total sales figures are counted, everything suggests that Mercedes will have a more than difficult, if not impossible, task to overcome the more than 56,000 units that separate Audi from Mercedes, even though the brand with the star sold many more units in November than Audi did.

Specifically, we are talking about a sales volume of 1,136,525 units for Mercedes up to November, which means an 8% increase in sales for the period compared with last year, versus an impressive 1,193,110 units that Audi has managed to place so far this year.
