The Audi Q8 Sport Concept features a high-performance hybrid powertrain that combines a 3.0-litre V6 TFSI engine producing 443 CV with a small electric motor delivering 27 CV. Together, both units achieve a combined output of 469 CV and 700 Nm of torque, allowing this vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 275 km/h. The eight-speed automatic gearbox sends the power to all four wheels.
One of the most noteworthy aspects of this vehicle is the electric compressor fitted to its V6 engine. This component, which first debuted on the Audi SQ7 diesel, eliminates turbo lag during acceleration. Thanks to its hybrid mechanics, the Audi Q8 Sport Concept offers a range of 1,200 km.

The powertrain of this Audi Q8 Sport Concept is expected to be offered in future models from the German brand, including the upcoming A6, A7, A8 and Q7. The production version of the Q8 could reach the market in 2018.
