Audi RS3 Sportback: the most powerful compact sports car on the market delivers 400 CV
Its 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder petrol engine produces 400 CV. Among the updates to this model, the most notable is the improvement in stability.
The German manufacturer will present the new Audi RS 3 Sportback at the Geneva International Motor Show , which will take place next March. The compact sports version will go on sale alongside the Audi RS3 Sedan variant and will reach 400 CV for the first time.

The new Audi RS3 Sportback offers the most powerful five-cylinder engine on the market. This 2.5 TFSI unit produces 400 CV (33 CV more than the previous version) and is 26 kg lighter thanks to the use of aluminium in its engine block. Maximum torque is 480 Nm and is available from 1,700 rpm. Thanks to this performance, the RS3 Sportback can reach 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds.

“The Audi RS 3 Sportback gives our customers an appealing entry into the RS world. Since 2011, the compact sports model has been a great success. And with the new five-cylinder engine, the Audi RS 3 Sportback takes the lead in its class, continuing that proud track record,” says Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Audi Sport.

The compact sports car features an S tronic dual-clutch transmission with seven ratios. Its all-wheel drive system includes a variable torque distribution system that splits power between the front and rear axles as needed at any given moment. Furthermore, the damper settings have been modified compared with its predecessor with the aim of improving its stability; in addition to increasing firmness, the suspension has been lowered by 25 mm. The Audi RS3 Sportback comes with 19-inch wheels and 310-millimetre brake discs. Alternatively, carbon-ceramic brakes are available for the front axle.
Thanks to a track width increased by 20 millimetres and a new front bumper, the Audi RS3 Sportback has a more muscular appearance at the front. The rear features a large spoiler, a diffuser with several separators and an exhaust outlet on each side.

Orders for the Audi RS3 Sportback will begin in April, while its market launch will take place next August. The price of this model in Germany starts at €54,600.
