Audi SQ5 Competition, the ultimate expression of the Q5

Audi launches an exclusive version based on the SQ5, the most powerful and performance-oriented variant in the range of the German mid-size SUV.
We are talking about the SQ5 Competition, which tops the range thanks to a distinctive look and first-class dynamic qualities.
The Competition brings several changes already on the styling front, where we find 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, painted in an exclusive gloss black finish. Elements such as the Audi exclusive black styling package, roof rails also finished in black and darkened tinted windows are also added.
Inside, there are no changes, only a more generous standard equipment list than usual, which includes, among other things, Xenon Plus headlights, light and rain sensors, sport front seats, sport multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters and comfort air conditioning. Of course, the SQ5 Competition can still be fitted with a wide range of optional equipment, notably the Audi Active Lane Assist and Side Assist driver assistance systems, or the Audi Connect online services.
Mechanically, the SQ5 Competition sets itself apart from its potential rivals with a 3.0 BiTDi engine that, in this edition, increases its output from the 313 CV of the standard SQ5 to 326 CV, while maintaining a monstrous maximum torque of 600 Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox, with which it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
The chassis has been lowered by 30 mm compared with conventional Q5 models, while retaining the sport exhaust system already seen on other models from the brand with the four rings, capable of producing a very appealing sound despite the diesel nature of the engine thanks to a system of mechanical resonators. The starting price of the SQ5 Competition is €74,790.
