Audi unveils its new logo: the four rings get a modern makeover
The German brand has just unveiled a new design for its iconic four-ring emblem, guided by the principles of greater purity, simplification and consistency

As has happened with other brands such as Dacia, Renault, Citroën, Kia, Peugeot or Volkswagen, among many others, Audi has just presented its new logo, set to be incorporated almost immediately into the brand’s upcoming new models, featuring a two-dimensional design for its four rings and a new specific typeface.
The first models to debut both the new logo and the new typeface will be the just-presented Audi Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback, two models that perfectly reflect the brand’s constant evolution and its progress toward electrifying its range.
The four rings, a key element
According to André Georgi, designer at Audi, the new two-dimensional appearance gives the four rings a much more modern and graphic look, while keeping proportions practically identical to those of the previous version and following in the footsteps of the two-dimensional rings the brand presented back in 2016, which were first used on the exterior of its vehicles in 2019.

The new four-ring logo has been designed around three key pillars. The first is that it has dispensed with traditional chrome finishes, a detail replaced by a high-contrast black-and-white appearance. With this new design, the inner part of the rings gives the impression of being set into a body of black glass, which brightens the logo and gives the white rings a flat, high-quality look.
A completely new finish
The brand has defined this colour combination as the “new chrome”, a combination that works perfectly regardless of the body colour chosen for the car. In addition, Audi will also offer customers new rings in full black, in which the white is replaced by a dark grey.
As we have already mentioned, this facelift of the brand also includes the model name, the version and the technology on the B-pillar in the Audi Type format, regardless of the model, remaining always visible to passengers as they get in and out of the vehicle.
