Auto Express tests the Mini Roadster Cooper S

Auto Express tests the new Mini Roadster in Cooper S trim on video. It has a 1.6-litre turbo engine with 184 CV and costs €28,750. In the tester’s opinion, it is the most balanced engine in terms of price and performance. Other options are the Cooper (122 CV), Cooper SD (diesel and 143 CV) and Cooper JCW (211 CV).
In the test the Mini Roadster is compared with the Mazda MX-5, as both vehicles share a leitmotiv: delivering pleasure and driving sensations with the sky as the limit. The question that arises is is the Mini really a rival for the Mazda?
The Mini Roadster is much more than the retractable-roof version of the Coupe. It is the first two-seater convertible Mini and a genuine representative of the roadster genre. The MX-5 has been sailing alone on this lake, but will the British model affect its sales, or not? To get an answer it is best to take a look at the video.
