Barcelona Motor Show 2009: Fiat

Another of the scoops at the Barcelona Show, alongside those of the Insignia OPC and the Ibiza FR and León Cupra 2009, was the edition of the Fiat 500 celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Barbie doll. The rest of the models on display, among which the 500 predominated in several configurations (such as the edition created by Diesel or the 500C), served only to show the Italian brand’s current range on the Spanish market.

We were also able to try a virtual driving simulator for eco-driving which, depending on the results of the game, gave away prizes such as a Scalextric or a computer mouse shaped like a Fiat 500.

The presence of the Barbie 500 can be noticed from a distance, as its cotton candy pink colour is hard to miss. The exclusive features of this edition include an antenna made of diamonds, Barbie logos on the B-pillar and at several points inside, and a fragrance dispenser. Only 5 units will be produced at a price of 100,000 euros each. Next to the car, under a glass dome, there was a toy version with a Barbie doll inside.
