Bentley Continental GT and Bentayga get their sporty look thanks to the Styling Specification package

Surely many of you, when you think of Bentley, the first thing that comes to mind is not its tremendously powerful engines but rather the luxury it represents, with high-quality materials in most cases handcrafted and assembled by hand. But this does not mean that Bentley is a brand that forgets about the sporty side of its vehicles; in fact, as an example, we have the competition variants of the Continental GT.

That is why the brand, for customers looking for a sportier appearance, has created a carbon fibre element package called Styling Specification, aimed at the Continental GT and the Bentayga, taking as reference the GTR-3, Supersports competition variants and the version that took part in Pikes Peak of the Continental GT, since all these elements have been created by the same team of engineers responsible for designing the carbon fibre components of those competition models.

As with many of the elements found on a Bentley, these carbon fibre pieces have been hand-designed specifically for each model, ensuring perfection in both aesthetics and aerodynamic efficiency. Once the pieces were designed, they were subjected to tests using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software to create simulations that reveal data on the effects produced in terms of noise, vibrations, component cooling and, subsequently, on the vehicles themselves over more than 100,000 km in extreme conditions.

Once all these pieces passed the test, Bentley began the final finish that the future customer will see. To do so, the brand lays layers of carbon fibre in a way that guarantees the promised strength and durability within a given weight, with the fibres visually symmetrical and providing a mirror effect that is accentuated in the central part of all these pieces and finished in a glossy finish.

And what are these pieces? For both the Bentley Continental GT and its Convertible version, as well as the Bentayga, the Styling Specificacion package adds a front splitter, side skirts, diffuser and rear spoiler. In the case of the Bentley Bentayga, the rear spoiler’s ends curve down to cover the sides of the rear window, and for this model the air intake trims and mirror housings are also added in the same carbon fibre finish.

All owners who have already ordered their Bentley Continental GT or Bentayga can add the Styling Specificacion package by informing their respective dealers; even those already purchased can install this package through an update. Coming soon, the Bentley Flying Spur will also benefit from this package.
