Bentley ends the Arnage with the Final Series edition

And 10 years is a long time, even for a Bentley. Since its birth in 1998, when the brand decided to go for BMW or Volkswagen, the Arnage has been one of the most sophisticated, well-equipped and successful luxury limousines on the market. Now, with these 150 units of the Final Series, Bentley bids farewell to the Arnage in grand style while already preparing its successor.

In this edition handcrafted in Crewe, the 90th anniversary of the brand is also celebrated (many manufacturers would love to celebrate that figure), as well as the 50 years of the legendary 6-litre V8 engine, which has passed from generation to generation with slight revisions to keep it up to date. It combines the power of the Arnage T (500 hp) with the refinement of the R and adds some details from the new Brooklands, such as 20-inch alloy wheels.

The long list of equipment includes things like a retractable Bentley logo, dark chrome on the upper and lower grilles, a chrome fuel cap, perforated pedals, stainless steel drinks holders exclusive to this edition, front-seat passenger tables available in several materials, four Bentley umbrellas with wooden handles, an audio system with a large screen and SD card compatibility, cup holders in the rear centre armrest, a leather-lined boot interior, iPod compatibility, and a remote control for the rear-seat entertainment system.

Likewise, the Final Series will be distinguished by plaques bearing the edition name, one below the side air intake between the front doors and the wing, and another on the lower front door sills. This farewell in the form of a special edition will be presented at the Paris Motor Show in a few days’ time, and it marks the end of a great saloon, but also the approach of a new era for Bentley.
